Limitorque L120 Series: World-Class Multi-Turn Valve Actuators

The Limitorque L120 Series by Nippon Gear is a versatile electric actuator line designed to operate multi-turn valves with absolute precision. Featuring a rugged construction and intelligent control integration, the L120 Series is a trusted solution for critical infrastructure systems worldwide.

Outstanding Technical Features of the L120 Series

1. Ultra-Durable Housing – Defying Harsh Environments

• Premium Materials: Utilizes die-cast aluminum (for smaller models) and cast iron (for larger models), optimizing weight while ensuring maximum structural rigidity.

• Diverse Protection Standards: Rated at IP55 (outdoor) with options up to IP67 and NEMA 4/6.

• Explosion-Proof: Meets stringent certifications such as JIS Exdll BT4, FM Class 1, and CSA, making it suitable for the oil, gas, and chemical industries.

2. High-Performance Gearing (Lifespan > 100,000 Cycles)

The combination of an aluminum-bronze worm gear and a Chrome Molybdenum steel worm shaft, lubricated with extreme-pressure grease, ensures smooth operation, minimized friction, and a service life spanning decades.

3. Intelligent Control & Absolute Safety

• Torque Switch: Equipped with high-capacity silver contacts to provide instantaneous protection against valve overload.

• Limit Switch: High-precision intermittent gear mechanism prevents position deviation even after long-term use.

• Safe Manual Operation: Features an intelligent declutch lever. When the motor is activated, the device automatically resets from manual to electric mode to prioritize remote control.

Typical Applications of the L120 Series

The L120 Series actuator serves as the \”heart\” of valve control systems in:

• Energy: Thermal and hydroelectric power plants.

• Environment: Water supply, drainage, and municipal wastewater treatment systems.

• Heavy Industry: Oil & gas, chemicals, shipbuilding, and pulp & paper production.

• Compatibility: Directly mounts to Gate and Globe valves, or combines with gearboxes for Butterfly and Ball valves.
