The Limitorque JMB Series valve actuators, developed based on the proven SMB series, are designed for water supply and sewerage applications as well as heavy industrial use.

Features
Safe electric/manual switching
– JMB-00 and larger: pulling the handwheel switches to manual mode, pushing it restores electric mode.
– JMB-04 and JMB-03: equipped with declutch lever for switching between modes.
– Standard interlock switch prevents electric operation during manual mode, ensuring accident prevention.
High-precision geared limit switch
– Operating point adjustable across the full stroke.
– Driven by intermittent gear with no shift in preset position.
– Options: from 2-line 8-contact up to 4-line 16-contact.
High-performance torque switch
– Adjustable for both opening and closing directions.
– Protects valves and drive mechanism from overloads.
– Available in rotary type (1a/1b contacts), open type (1b), and microswitch type (1c).
Operation mechanism

Motor drives the worm gear via helical gear and worm.

Stem nut, engaged with valve stem screw, moves the valve stem to open/close.

Worm compresses torque spring proportionally to torque increase, rotating the torque switch.

At preset torque, the torque switch opens, stopping the motor.

– Worm gears (aluminum bronze) + worms (carbon steel or chrome molybdenum steel).
